1. Overview
The editors of Encountering the Human(ities): Anxiety, Storytelling, Futurity are committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and research integrity. All parties involved in the publication process, authors, reviewers, editors, and organisers, are expected to adhere to recognised principles of ethical scholarly publishing.
2. Editorial Principles
● Manuscripts will be evaluated solely on academic merit, originality, and relevance.
● Editorial decisions will be independent and free from discrimination or external influence.
● All submissions will be treated as confidential.
● Editors will declare conflicts of interest and withdraw where appropriate.
3. Peer Review
● All submissions will undergo peer-review appropriate to the discipline.
● Reviewers will provide objective, constructive, and timely evaluations.
● Manuscripts will be treated as confidential documents.
● Reviewers will disclose conflicts of interest and recuse themselves where necessary.
4. Author Responsibilities
4.1 Originality and Plagiarism
Submissions must be original work. All sources must be appropriately cited. Plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, is unacceptable.
4.2 Authorship
Authorship must reflect significant contribution. All authors must approve the submitted version and accept responsibility for the content.
4.3 Accuracy and Integrity
Authors must present an accurate account of their research. Fabrication, falsification, or misrepresentation is considered misconduct.
4.4 Multiple Submission

5. Misconduct
The proceedings do not tolerate publication malpractice, including:

● Inappropriate authorship practices
● Undisclosed conflicts of interest
Such practices compromise the integrity of the scholarly record and will be addressed in accordance with established ethical guidelines.
6. Corrections and Retractions
Where errors or misconduct are identified, the editors will take appropriate action, including issuing corrections or retractions where necessary, to maintain the integrity of the publication.
